Simlog Announces Major Upgrade to Forklift Personal Simulator
New Functionalities to provide more flexibility and training value
Montreal, February 21, 2018 – Simlog Inc., the pioneer and standard in affordable PC-based heavy equipment simulators for operator training in education and industry, announces the availability of a major upgrade to the Forklift Personal Simulator: Version 2.
Forklift Personal Simulator Version 2
The Forklift Personal Simulator puts trainees at the controls of a typical sit-down, counter-balanced factory forklift with rear-wheel steering. Training scenarios are typical of factories, warehouses, and distribution centers, with a wide variety of loads and storage arrangements, along with truck bays for loading and unloading.
The new functionality in Version 2, developed in collaboration with key Simlog customers, introduces new and modified Simulation Modules to encourage safer operation practices and maximize productivity.
“Version 2 was designed with flexibility, safety and productivity in mind,” says Paul Freedman, Simlog’s Founder and President. “Beginner operators can follow all modules to master forklift operations, while more skilled operators can start at a specific module and get better at a desired skill.”
With more advanced content, and more comprehensive performance indicators, Forklift Version 2 further extends training effectiveness and safety, while continuing to deliver superior training value at a fraction of the cost of a real forklift.
Brand New Simulation Modules and New Content for Existing Ones
Seven brand new simulation modules teach more advanced operator techniques. A new Slalom 3 – Reverse, Tall Load Module teaches operators to drive in reverse while the Selective Pallet Racks 1 – Low Shelves Module allows trainees to work with loads limited to the floor or the first shelf of the rack.
With the new, more advanced Loading Docks Modules students will learn the basics of working with loads and advance to working with loads of different shapes and sizes with the objective of maximizing productivity in mind.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing for Simlog’s Forklift Personal Simulator varies according to the various setup options we offer e.g. for simulator controls. Existing Simlog customers (who purchased Version 1) will be able to re-use their existing simulator controls, and just purchase the new Version 2 software upgrade for an upgrade fee.
