Personal Simulator Purchasing

At Simlog, purchasing means software licensing.

Each time you launch your Simlog software in the free "Evaluation Mode" using the Simlog icon on your Windows desktop, a start-up window appears with the display of a special product-specific and PC-specific License Code (a series of numbers and letters) at the top.

Once Simlog processes your payment for the software license (see below for details), we will use your License Code to generate your software License Key (again, just a series of letters and numbers). Then by entering the License Key in the lower part of that same start-up window, you will be "unlocking" the full functionality of the Simlog software's Commercial Mode.

Single-User and Multi-User Modes

In order to address the training needs of different kinds of customers, Simlog has created two different Commercial Modes called "Single-User" and "Multi-User".

In "Single-User" mode, there is no user identification so simulation results are saved in the form of files. This is the Simlog default.

In "Multi-User" mode, you can associate a login name and password with each simulator user, and simulation results are saved in a special database. Multi-User mode is only available in conjunction with Simlog's "helper product" called the Simulation Manager. To learn more about the two Commercial modes, please refer to the additional details.

Practically, if you begin with the Single-User mode and sometime later decide that you need Multi-User mode, no problem! Just purchase the license for Simlog's Simulation Manager and we will generate a new Multi-User mode License Key for your Personal Simulator (at no extra charge).

Payment

Simlog can process payment via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), business cheque, or electronic funds transfer (direct deposit) to our business bank account.

Remember that this is a one time fee, and there are no restrictions on the number of people that you can train with Simlog's help. (Pricing information for each software license is posted on the associated product Web page.)

Once Simlog processes your payment and provides your License Key, please note that no refund is possible (because our free Evaluation Mode means that you already know what you are buying).

Software upgrades

At Simlog, we're also working hard to incrementally add customer value to our products in the form of software upgrades. What's special about that? Just this: when an improved version of Simlog software become available, it goes out to our customers free if the commercial software license was purchased in the preceding twelve months. Otherwise, the new version may be purchased by "older" customers at half the current price. (Remember, you make that decision, not us.)
