System Integrators
Simlog is a software development company and for that reason,
we always look to hardware specialists to
supply the USB-ready simulator controls that our customers can use to turn
their PCs into Personal
Simulators.
Personal Simulator Integration
But we also work with System Integrators who create their
own products using Simlog software.
Here are three kinds of Personal Simulator integration:
- developing software elements "on top of" Simlog software to
provide complementary functionality, such as Computer-Based Training (CBT) that
"embeds" Simlog simulation software.
- developing USB-ready simulator controls that become key parts
of new "operator chairs" for Simlog's simulation software.
- developing turnkey simulators complete with PC, operator
chair, etc. for operator training or as interactive exhibits at science
centres, museums, and promotional events.
For example, the company Acreos in France has
created a series of turnkey simulators that feature Simlog simulation software.
As shown here, the operator controls may feature joysticks, levers,
pedals, and steering wheels, just like in the cabs of real mobile cranes and tower
cranes, hydraulic excavators, off-highway trucks and mining trucks, and wheel loaders.
A tactile display is also available for user input (instead of a keyboard and mouse).
Different training plateform configurations are available to simulate
one or several kinds of equipment, just by changing the simulator controls.
This interactive exhibit was created by the Canada Science and Technology
Museum, based on Simlog's Harvester
Personal Simulator.
The exhibit is part of "Beyond the Trees", an exhibition about Canada's forests.
Next Steps
To learn more about Personal Simulator integration, please review our PC requirements and software licensing details. You will also find
pricing posted in $USD on our Web site for both software licenses and
simulator controls.
After that, we look forward to discussing your ideas with Simlog!
