PC Controls for Off-Highway Truck Personal Simulator
For Simlog's Off-Highway Truck simulation software, we are pleased to offer the following USB-ready PC Controls consisting of off-the-shelf (USB) PC input devices.
Compared to Replica Controls and
OEM Controls,
the PC Controls are inexpensive and transportable.
PC Controls begin with a commercial USB steering wheel, three pedal set, and gear shifter with pushbuttons from Logitech, the "G27 Racing Wheel".
If desired, you can configure the middle pedal to be used as a Retarder Pedal.
In most countries, this product is for sale in retail stores that sell
computers or video games, but it may also be purchased from Logitech's on-line store (select the appropriate
country, then the product, then "Buy Now").
Simlog also keeps a small number of units in stock for resale to Simlog
customers at the cost of USD$600 (plus shipping/handling and applicable
taxes).
Instead of retarding with a pedal, you can also set up a Retarder Lever
by using the "throttle" in the base of a
PC joystick of the kind
that Simlog recommends.
(One Simlog customer fitted a thin, lightweight,
shaft to the throttle to create something that you can move in an arc with your hand
instead of your fingers, just like a real retarder.)
