You turn your PC into a professional training simulator.

Simlog's Personal Simulators are designed for set up on your PC. Just install the simulator "ingredients": the Simlog software, and simulator controls. Most any desktop or laptop PC will do!

You can use different kinds of simulator controls.

Simlog software may be used with different kinds of simulator controls to suit every budget.

Low cost off-the-shelf PC Controls are all you need to begin. This option is the default choice, and provides unprecedented cost-effectiveness.

For more realism at additional cost, we offer Replica controls featuring USB-ready industrial components (details posted on our product Web pages).

Finally, for some Personal Simulators, Simlog can also provide OEM Controls with parts from the operator controls of real heavy equipment at still higher prices (please refer to the details posted on our product Web pages).

You choose the simulator setup that's right for you.

Decide for yourself what simulator setup options work best. Some customers are using desktop computers with PC controls, while others have laptops with projectors and "Replica controls". Some customers have created their own operator chairs, even mobile training units.

So whether you're looking to prepare just one Simlog "station" or a simulator lab, Simlog has the right ingredients!

Your training is self-paced.

Simlog's Personal Simulators need no trainer's station, because simulation results are automatically saved. In this way, students progress at their own pace while instructors have more time to supervise real seat-time.

With results presented at the end of each simulation exercise, people can easily track their progress with respect to your simulator benchmarks. This shifts responsibility for learning from the instructor to the student, making people more accountable and training more effective.

Simulation results are saved in one of two ways:

In the default "Single-User" mode, the simulation results are saved as files, one per simulator "session". The files are named according to the date and time when the simulator-based work took place and include average, minimum and maximum values of all the associated performance indicators.

Alternatively, when the Personal Simulator is used in "Multi-User" mode in conjunction with Simlog's Simulation Manager, the simulation results are saved in a special Simlog database, indexed by simulator user. (The same database can be used with all of our products.)

In all cases, we make it easy to keep track of the simulation results, and can even help you develop your own simulator-based benchmarks!

Your Simlog software "knows" how to teach.

Simlog's Personal Simulators feature an innovative Instructional Design framework consisting of Simulation Modules of increasing difficulty, based on world-class simulation technology.

For each Simulation Module, there are Performance Indicators that carefully measure both the productivity (e.g. execution time) and the quality of your simulated work (e.g. stump height, load sway, bucket fill). In this way, the values of the performance indicators provide a comprehensive picture of what it means to "do the job right". Practically, there are hundreds of trials for each module, enough for many hours of continuous simulator-based training right "out of the box"!
