Simlog's
Electric Rope Shovel
and
Mining Truck
Personal Simulators (with Replica Controls) at Taseko Mines Gibraltar
in British Columbia, Canada.
"Simlog's innovative 3D simulation technology allows trainers and trainees
alike to experience the reality of an open pit mining operation within
the confines of a classroom setting. The self-paced learning system
allows employees to advance at their own pace on their own time, but
still provides a challenging environment as the employee improves and
becomes competent and efficient on the equipment.
These training aids will bring the mine training department to the next
level."

A Simlog "simulator lab" with five

stations (with PC Controls) at the recruiting offices of Kinross Gold
in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
(Just four stations are visible in the photograph.)
The Personal Simulators are used to identify training candidates with
sufficient "aptitude" for training as haul truck operators.
This is especially important because the training candidates typically have
no prior experience at the controls of a motorized vehicle.
