Montreal, October 24, 2005 - Simlog is proud to announce the availability of the world's first PC-based simulator with virtual digging for training hydraulic excavator operators.
Developed in collaboration with leading OEM and training professionals, Simlog's new Hydraulic Excavator Personal Simulator puts you at the controls of a modern hydraulic excavator in a virtual construction site in English or French (Spanish coming soon).
A total of twelve simulation modules are provided of increasing difficulty, starting with the basic operation of the boom and carrier and ending with trenching and truck loading that feature Simlog's unique "dynamic terrain modeling" technology, over two years in the making. There's even a menu to switch between the "SAE" and "Backhoe-Loader" joystick patterns.
Just imagine: simulated bucket/soil interaction on a PC for the very first time!
It's an idea whose time has come. And the hundreds of people who have evaluated our pre-commercial versions would all agree!

Simlog's new Hydraulic Excavator Personal Simulator will be jointly distributed by Simlog and VISTA Training. The cost of the commercial software license is just USD$3,750.00. Two kinds of simulator controls may be used: PC Controls or industrial USB joysticks, for which table-top mounting brackets are also available to help customers create their own "operator chairs".
Following the development of award-winning Personal Simulators for training operators of mobile cranes and tower cranes, Simlog's new Hydraulic Excavator Personal Simulator is the first in a new line of products to help train operators of earth-moving equipment. In this way, Simlog looks forward to continuing to address the world-wide training needs of heavy equipment operators by bringing effective and affordable training simulation to your PC.
