Montreal, June 1, 2004 - Simlog is pleased to announce the availability of the world's first PC-based tower crane training simulator, following successful demonstrations of pre-commercial versions earlier this year at the BAUMA trade show in Munich and at the Operating Engineers Training and Safety and Health Conference in San Diego.

The new Tower Crane Personal Simulator was developed as part of Simlog's strategic collaboration with Morrow Equipment, owner/operator of the largest fleet of tower cranes in North America and distributor of Liebherr tower cranes. (The collaboration was announced in a previous Press Release dated November 3, 2003.)

Simlog’s newest product puts you at the controls of a Liebherr EC-H top-slewing tower crane with trolley jib. Simulated instrument readings include working slew angle, working radius, lowering depth (hook height), and load weight (displayed in metric or Imperial units). There is also a simulated three-way switch for hoist gear selection. You can even change the viewpoint during the simulation at the touch of a button!

Just like Simlog's award-winning Mobile Crane Personal Simulator, the new Tower Crane Personal Simulator features hundreds and hundreds of exercises based, in part, on the Practical Exam tasks recently defined by the National (U.S.A.) Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (CCO) Tower Crane Task Force.
