Press Release
Moncton, June 18, 2001 - Simlog is pleased to announce the establishment of an exclusive distribution agreement for its new personal simulator products in Atlantic Canada with Rocan Forest Service, North America's leading specialists in Cut-To-Length equipment for the logging industry.
Since 1984, Rocan has been the Canadian distributor of industry-leading equipment from Rottne, Log Max, Neuson, and Bräcke-Donaren. Under the terms of this agreement, Rocan will add to their product line Simlog's Harvester Personal Simulator for training operators of single-grip harvesters.
In addition, Rocan will become the exclusive distributor, in Atlantic Canada, of Simlog's new Forwarder Personal Simulator, to be modeled on the popular Rottne SMV Rapid eight wheel forwarder (expected availability September 2001).
Says Alan Anderson, President of Rocan:
"We're convinced that Simlog's new Personal Simulators will make a real
contribution to operator training for single-grip harvesters and
forwarders.
This inexpensive PC-based training simulator is something that every
CTL machine owner can have at home on his own computer to help
defray expensive operator training costs."
Simlog is proud to be associated with Rocan and looks forward to promoting Cut-to-Length harvesting practices together in North America.
